My name is Ethan Vanatta. I am 23 years old from the small town of Watertown, TN. My story starts when I was attending college at Tennessee Technological University. I was studying to become an Electrical Engineer and two and half years in I found myself not happy with my major and burnt out. So I dropped out of school in December 2011 and went to work at two different factories. It didn't take long for me to figure out that I was missing my true calling in life. In college my cousin had introduced to weight lifting and taught me the basic knowledge on how to lift and train. I trained on a regular basis with my two best friends and my passion for the fitness world grew. When I left school and went to work I fell out lifting and became out of shape and skinny. In November 2012 I began to train with a vengeance. My passion for fitness had grown to an all new high and it got me thinking. Would I want to work in the fitness field? I had always wanted to but was to afraid to go after my dream....until now. I am currently a NASM certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist. I am also a student at Middle Tennessee State University for Exercise Science. This blog is a place for me to tell my story, a place to teach and share fitness information, nutrition and exercise techniques, and tons of other fitness related info.
The reason behind the name Tough Fitness is the very definition of Tough ":characterized by severity or uncompromising determination; capable of enduring strain hardship".
1. You must have uncompromising determination to change your body. Change doesn't happen over night and you must have the determination to stay in it for the long haul to achieve your fitness goals.
2.You must be capable of enduring strain and hardship. There will be days that you don't want to train. You may be tired, lost motivation, or personal issues may be affecting you . You must be tough enough to push through the hard times to achieve your fitness goals.
So at the end of the day one must ask themselves "am I Tough Enough?"......Well are you?
